The Development of Emotion

We are currently seeking children aged between 6 and 12 years to participate in a study investigating how people process social and emotional information from faces, and experience, understand and express emotions.

Participation will involve completing a series of questionnaires and cognitive tasks, watching short segments of film clips and rating feelings after viewing these clips. Your child will also be asked to make judgements about a series of faces.

The study is being conducted by researchers from the Australian Catholic University (Strathfield campus) and participants will be required to complete a single research session of approximately 2.5 hours (either at the ACU Strathfield Campus or at a mutually agreed upon location). Children will receive a $30 Coles-Myer voucher in return for participation.
