Emotion Processing and Experience

We are currently seeking volunteers to participate in a study investigating how people process and experience emotion across the lifespan.

To be eligible to participate, you need to be aged between 60 and 85 years, speak English as your first language, have normal (or corrected-to-normal) vision and hearing, and no history of head injury, psychiatric disorder, developmental disorder or neurological disorder.

Participation will involve completing a series of questionnaires and cognitive tasks, watching short segments of film clips and rating your feelings after viewing these clips. You will also be asked to make judgements about a series of faces and voices.

The study is being conducted at the Australian Catholic University (Strathfield campus) and participants will be required to attend a single research session of approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.

Participants will receive a $20 Coles-Myer voucher in return for participation.
